Our Beginning

In 1938 during the swirling economic chaos of the great depression, Loren D. Stark had a vision for his future.  Having graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago, served as an artillery officer in World War I, and pursued a career as an estate planner in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he knew he had the ability and expertise to create a company that would provide clients with the ultimate in financial planning.  To achieve this vision he made a demographic search to discover the most promising city in the United States destined to become a metropolis of great industry and commerce.  His present choice was Houston, Texas, and his vision became the Loren D. Stark Company.

Today, his son, Donald D. Stark, carries on the legacy of his father’s vision.  In preparation for this task, he graduated from Wharton School of Finance and Commerce and served as a Lieutenant in the Navy before returning to bring his expertise to the Loren D. Stark Company in their ongoing mission of providing clients with the most comprehensive retirement plans available.
